Jamie Godbold was delighted with his AFC Sudbury team’s efforts in Tuesday night’s 1-0 win over Worthing.

The Yellows had been in a bit of trouble before last night’s victory, and Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Kingstonian, but Godbold feels his team are now back on the right path.

“It was a refreshing feeling to pick up three points,” said the Yellows’ boss.

“We worked really hard to earn the points tonight against difficult opposition.

“They’ve scored lots of goals this season so to keep a clean sheet against them was terrific and I thought we played really well.

“We gained confidence from Saturday’s positive result and it’s now about progress for us as we travel to Staines on Saturday.”

Godbold also had special mention for match-winning centre-half, Adam Tann.
