THREE-time Tour de France stage winner Jens Voigt is to ride in this Septemer’s Tour of Britain, it emerged today.
Voight will lead the Leopard Trek team in the event, which has a stage start in Bury St Edmunds and route through the region on September 17.
He heads a six-rider squad which also includes 2006 Tour of Britain winner Martin Pedersen.
Meanwhile, Olympic silver medalist and five time World Track Champion Theo Bos will head the Rabobank team, and Anthony Charteau, the 2010 Tour de France King of the Mountains, will head the Europcar squad.
The Irish AN Post Sean Kelly Cycling Team also return to The Tour of Britain, with a duo of Brits, Andrew Fenn and Mark McNally amongst their six-rider provisional line-up.
