JESSICA ENNIS has started her heptathlon campaign by breaking the world record in the competition’s 100m hurdles and currently tops the standings after one event
The Sheffielder crossed the line in a stunning 12.54secs to get off to a flying start at the Olympic Stadium.
Ennis’ team-mate Louise Hazel finished fourth in her heat in a time of 13.48s.
