COLCHESTER boss Joe Dunne was delighted after his side recorded victory over Walsall at the Weston Community Stadium.

The U’s struck twice in the last quarter to take all three points, through Jabo Ibehre and Freddie Sears as they climbed out of the relegation spots.

“I thought we did well, especially second half,” Dunne said.

“We had to be competitive. It was a good game to win. We dug in and produced a good performance.

“Our fans have been so patient. They have stuck with us. And that win is for all the fans, chairman and playing staff.”
