NORWICH CITY goalkeeper John Ruddy has been ruled out of England’s Euro 2012 campaign after suffering a broken finger.
The former Cambridge and Everton stopper, who enjoyed a fine season in the Premier League with the Canaries, was set to be third-choice goalkeeper in Roy Hodgson’s squad for Poland and the Ukraine.
However, Hodgson has now had to turn to rookie goalkeeper Jack Butland, the Birmingham City teenager, who has yet to play for the Blues but did appear 12 times for Cheltenham last season.
