Ipswich Town could look to bring Jordan Rhodes back to the club on loan in the summer, according to reports in the national press.

A report in the Sun on Sunday speculates that Sheffield Wednesday could look to cut their losses on their £10million signing this summer, with the Blues and Bolton said to be interested.

The report suggests Wednesday could look to loan Rhodes, who has scored just four goals in 28 league games for the club, out this summer and would potentially allow any interested side to pay a small fraction of his wage packed to help any departure.

Rhodes was linked with a return to Portman Road during the January transfer window, amid talk of a departure for striker David McGoldrick, but manager Mick McCarthy has denied the claims.
