Colchester United will begin their third season back in League Two with a trip to Notts County.
The U’s will be at Meadow Lane on Saturday, August 4, to face a Magpies side who again look like mounting a promotion push during 2018-19.
Johnn McGreal’s men’s first home match is the following Saturday (August 11), when they entertain Port Vale. The following weekend they have their second away league game, at Mansfield Town.
The U’s will be at home on Boxing Day, against Stevenage.
Three days later they are at home again, against Morecambe, before travelling to Crawley Town on New Year’s Day.
They end the campaign with an away match at beaten play-off semi-finalists Lincoln City on May 4.
