STRICKENED Ipswich Witches speedway rider Kozza Smith has vowed to be back on the track next month after suffering life threatening injuries at Foxhall Stadium on March 20.

The young Aussie suffered a collapsed lung, four cracked ribs, a fractured shoulder and broken arm.

Smith is desperate to have one final crack at the World Under-21 individual event, and he said: “I want to be back within the next four weeks.

“I've got the Under-21's and would love to have a go at that because it's my last year at this level.”
