PAUL Lambert really tore into Wycombe Wanderers boss Peter Taylor during today's press conference, in respect to the U's recent six-figure bid for Chairboys defender Mike Williamson.
Lambert was stung by criticism from Taylor, who had claimed that the U's boss didn't know the value of Williamson. Wycombe had rejected the bid.
The U's manager insisted that it was Taylor, rather than he, who didn't know the full value of the player, or how highly he is rated. See tomorrow's EADT for the full story.
