COLCHESTER United boss Paul Lambert wants U's fans to pack out the South Stand next season.

At the moment, the U's have very little support at either end of the Community Stadium. Most home fans have tended to sit in the East or West stands down either side of the pitch, while visiting supporters are reserved for the South Stand.

But that is all set to change for next term, with away fans to switch to the North Stand, and the Essex club hoping for a bigger presence at the opposite end of the pitch.

Lambert believes that his team would respond better with some extra noise from one end. To encourage this, the Essex club have revealed that prices will be reduced to 18 to sit in the South Stand next season, which would equate to 15 per match for a season ticket holder.

The U's have also announced a number of other new measures for next season, including the fact that any fans renewing their season tickets will pay less than they did for this campaign. The capacity of the family enclosure is also set to be increased by 33%.
