LANCE Armstrong's Team RadioShack will hit the road racing season with a top team at the 2010 Santos Tour Down Under in Adelaide.
Tour de France stage winners Yaroslav Popovych, a loyal Armstrong man from the Discovery Channel and Astana days, and Belgian Gert Steegmans will be important figures in the event in Adelaide.
Popovych won the young rider classification at the 2005 Tour de France and a stage in 2006 event. Belgian Gert Steegmans won a stage in 2007 and the prestigious final stage on the Champs-Elysees in 2008.
South Africa's Daryl Impey, Belgium's Sebastien Rosseler, USA's Jason McCartney and Tomas Vaitkus of Lithuania will also add steel to the glitz surrounding RadioShack.
"RadioShack will be very competitive from the word go. Johan Bruyneel [team director] plays to win and the team racing in Adelaide next year is strong, tough and experienced, and will want to make their presence felt as the cycling world watches,'' said Tour Down Under race director, Mike Turtur.
