LEIGH Lanham is set to sign a short-term deal with Rye House as cover for Australian teenager Tyson Nelson.
Nelson has been the victim of a technical error in the Rockets’ visa application, which was accidentally submitted via personal e-mail rather than signed on company notepaper.
It means the club will have to start from scratch with a fresh application leaving Nelson likely to miss the opening matches of the campaign.
The Rockets have applied to the BSPA Management Committee to bring in Lanham, who has been left without a Premier League club following the closure of Newport, with the proviso that he will be released should he be offered a more permanent position become available to him elsewhere.
Rye House’s first two meetings are home and away against Ipswich Witches.
