New Stowmarket Town manager Alan Johnson watched his side take part in an entertaining encounter for his first pre-season game at Greens Meadows, when a strong Leiston side visited.
The visitors went ahead with a well-struck free kick from Stuart Boardley, and added a second soon after.
Stowmarket had their chances but Sam Bartholomew and new signing Lamonte Cooper could not find the finishing touches to some enterprising play by the home side.
After the break, both sides made changes, with the visitors seeing plenty of the ball, but young home keeper Chris Stacey was beaten twice more before the 90 minutes were up.
Calver added the third before McGlone added a fourth in added-on time. Stowmarket did have one good chance to reduce the scoreline, but Danny Allen's spot kick hit the foot of a post.
Next up for the home side in their pre-season warm-ups is a home friendly with near-neighbours Needham Market, on Thursday.
The match kicks off at 7.45pm.
