FOUR Leiston players have extended contracts with the club until the end of the 2014/2015 season.

Stuart Boardley, Michael Brothers, Emmanuel Osei and George Wilson have all signed two-year deals with the Ryman League Premier Division side.

Boardley, the club’s longest-serving player, has played a prominent role in Leiston establishing themselves in the Ryman Premier this season following back-to-back promotions. After starting the season in his regular position in midfield he has moved seamlessly into the centre of defence.

Striker or midfielder Brothers, who left in the summer to join Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side Brantham Athletic, returned to Leiston in December.

Striker Osei has proved a big hit at Victory Road after signing from Ryman League Division One North side Waltham Abbey in September, while midfielder Wilson arrived from Thurlow Nunn side Norwich United earlier this season.

All four have committed themselves to the club under new manager Danny Laws, who celebrated hi first victory in charge on Saturday - a 3-0 home win against Wingate & Finchley - since taking over from the departed Mark Morsley.

A statement on the club’s website said: “All players have played important roles in this season’s Ryman Premier Division and the club are delighted that the players have decided to commit themselves further to the football club.”
