Bury St. Edmunds Leisure Centre is offering help in the build-up to this year's Race For Life in aid of Cancer Research UK.

The leisure centre will offer an eight-week training package, including unlimited usage of the gym, health suite and swimming facilities to anyone in the local area registered for the race. The membership also provides participants with a chance to join the popular Joggers and Jaunters ladies only running club.

Assistant manager Richard Savory said: “The Race For Life is a fantastic event supporting an extremely worthwhile cause. We want to help in whatever way we can and provide people with the opportunity of using the event as a real motivator to improve their health and well-being, and encourage habitual exercise beyond the race itself.”

As well as an initial gym induction and exercise programme, all customers will recieve a full health assessment both at the beginning and end of the eight weeks.
