The trio of Luke Hyam, Josh Emmanuel and James Alabi made their debuts for their loan clubs yesterday.
All three players left Portman Road on a temporary basis prior to Thursday’s loan deadline, with Hyam making it off the bench for Rotherham during the closing stages of their 3-0 victory over Bristol City.
Alabi, on loan at Grimsby, with 15 minutes remaining as the Mariners beat Kidderminster in the National League, while full-back Emmanuel played the first hour alongside Josh Yorwerth as their Crawley side lost 3-1 at Carlisle in League Two.
Matt Clarke and goalkeeper Michael Crowe were unused substitutes for Portsmouth and Stevenage respectively, while Cameron Stewart played the last five minutes of Doncaster’s 2-2 draw with Coventry.
