A GOAL deep into stoppage time by David Lorimer rescued a point for Suffolk with a 1-1 draw in last night's East Anglian Counties Under-18 match against Cambridgeshire at Histon.
An even first half saw Tom Ross (Woodbridge Town) make a point-blank save from Ives (Cambridge United), while at the other end, efforts from Joe Bloomfield (Felixstowe & Walton) and Ian Dawson (Kirkley & Pakefield), were well saved by home goalkeeper Beagle (Cambridge United).
Cambridgeshire scored after 56 minutes when a shot from Robert Dawson (Newmarket) took a deflection to catch the goalkeeper on the wrong foot.
That looked like being the decider until Lorimer (Bury Town), broke clear to equalise in the last seconds of a splendid contest.
