Lowestoft Railway 0 Felixstowe 4

Promoted Felixstowe grabbed three more points to pile the pressure on Ipswich III for the title race.

It was the away side who began with vigour, dominating the play right from the whistle with a constant stream of attacks. It wasn't long before they made the breakthrough with returning striker Paul Muchal firing home.

A number of short corners followed and the Lowestoft goalkeeper made some excellent saves from the flicked efforts of Alex Woodhouse. However, he was left completely open when Woodhouse's aerial ball found Muchal on the right wing whose pinpoint cross picked out Burden for goal number two.

Another short corner for the away side was again well saved, only for David Goode to react sharply, turning in the rebound.

The second half was more even with Lowestoft battling hard to try to get back into what was a crucial game in their relegation struggle. Their efforts, however, were in vain as Burden added his second after being well found, again by Muchal.

Despite some excellent chances, Felixstowe were unable to add to their tally but gained great satisfaction from another clean sheet and a comfortable victory.
