Lowestoft 3 Leiston 0

This was a skilfull and entertaining contest in front of a 203 strong crowd which saw Lowestoft come out on top by a three-goal margin.

They took a 1-0 half time lead through Ross King in the 29th minute after being set up by Gary McGee. Lowestoft rang the changes in the second half and Richard Woodrow, having two bites of the cherry, made it 2-0. Leiston never gave up and Lee McGlone had a neat backward header go very close but one of Lowestoft's five new signings, Andrew Fiske powered in a volley on 88 minutes with the goal of the match.
