Bank Holiday Monday (May 5) will prove to be an exciting one for several of Suffolk’s non-league teams.
In the Ryman League Premier Division play-off, Lowestoft Town are potentially just 90 minutes away from earning a place in Skrill North – they host AFC Hornchurch in a 3pm kick-off.
The kick-off is also 3pm at Brewers Green Lane where Felixstowe & Walton United, who just missed out on winning the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division title on Saturday, face Newmarket Town at Diss Town’s ground, in the League Challenge Cup Final, sponsored by Red Insure. Neither team has ever won the competition.
Elsewhere, it is an early start at Woodbridge Town as Claydon face Oulton Broad in the Suffolk FA Junior Cup (11am), while Ipswich Wanderers and Whitton United go head-to-head, in a repeat of last year’s Suffolk FA Senior Cup final, at Hadleigh United’s Millfield ground (3pm).
