JAMIE Godbold has revealed that Lowestoft Town will be far better prepared for their FA Vase semi-final match at Whitley Bay today following their forgettable experience in the north east at the same stage of the competition last year.
The north Suffolk club just about scraped through against the same opposition last year, a nervy 3-0 defeat at Hillheads following a 4-0 first leg win at Crown Meadow.
Lowestoft travelled up by coach for the match last year and did not arrive until late the day before the match. This time around they have flown up, having caught a flight from Stansted early yesterday morning, and did some light training yesterday afternoon.
Godbold, 28, said: “We learnt a lot from that experience and will be much better prepared this time around.”
