WINGER Kevin McLeod has left Colchester United to join rival League One outfit Brighton & Hove Albion.
Former Everton trainee McLeod had been mulling over a new deal with the U's, but has decided instead to take on a new challenge at Brighton, who are managed by former U's assistant boss Micky Adams.
McLeod spent two seasons at Layer Road, following his arrival from Swansea. He struggled for consistency, despite scoring three goals in the U's first Championship campaign, and then netting a brace in his final appearance for the club, in the 3-3 draw at Scunthorpe on the final day of last term.
