Martin and Acock Norfolk Women’s League
Division One
MAGPIES, with a different team to the previous week’s hosted Dragons third team, but were still hoping to continue their successive wins and stay top of the table. It was evenly matched for the first few minutes but then Magpies stepped up the pressure, and the rest of the game was spent in Dragons’ half, with the Magpies defence remaining largely untroubled.
Despite taking a pounding from Magpies’ midfield and forwards, numerous saves from the Dragons keeper kept the opposition in the game, and Magpies were unlucky not to get the goal they deserved. The fours stay top table having picked up the point, with league action resuming in three week’s time.
