Former Colchester United and Tottenham midfielder Kevin Watson has stepped down as manager of Maldon & Tiptree, despite only being appointed 11 days ago.
Watson has elected to leave the Essex club to join up with former Spurs team-mate Teddy Sheringham at League Two Stevenage.
Sheringham was recently appointed boss of ‘Boro and Watson will assist him.
As a player he made over 400 career appearances for Swindon, Rotherham, Reading and Colchester and won three promotions, before working as an academy coach with the U’s.
