Manager-in-waiting Kevin Keen was an interested spectator during Colchester United’s match at Rochdale this afternoon.
Hotly-tipped to be the new U’s boss, in succession to Tony Humes, who stood down on November 26, Keen was watching today’s game at Spotland alongside chairman Robbie Cowling.
It is expected that ex-West Ham midfielder Keen will be officially appointed the new Colchester boss early next week.
The 48-year-old was most recently an assistant manager to Steve Clarke at Reading, until the two were axed earlir this month.
