Marcus Bean has officially left Colchester United, and looks set to join League Two promotion hopefuls Wycombe Wanderers.
U’s midfielder Bean has been out on loan at Portsmouth, but is poised to sign a permanent deal with the Chairboys rather than Pompey.
Portsmouth had wanted to extend Bean’s loan deal from the U’s, but instead a move to Adams Park looks on the cards.
U’s boss Tony Humes said this lunchtime: “With Marcus (Bean), there is potential of something happening with another club.
“But until that’s finalised, I can’t say anything.
“That would hopefully be a permanent move for Marcus,” added Humes,
