Ipswich Town take on Sheffield United in a Championship clash at Bramall Lane this afternoon and you can follow all of the afternoon’s team news, action and reaction right here.
An unlikely rivalry is renewed following the Blades’ return to the second-tier following a six-year absence. Town fans dubbed United ‘the Norwich of the North’ during a series of feisty affairs back in the late ‘90s and early ‘00s.
• McCarthy hoping for defensive improvements
Chris Wilder’s men have kept their momentum going after storming to the League One title with 100 points last season. They’ve won seven of their opening 11 league games to sit third in the table.
Town are just three points behind, with a game in hand, after winning six themselves. Mick McCarthy’s are yet to beat a team in the top half of the table though and now head into a run of tough-looking fixtures.
