THE U's have snapped up their second new player of the summer, with Matt Lockwood joining Matt Heath as a new recruit for next season's campaign in League One.
The Essex club agreed a fee with Nottingham Forest for Lockwood a fortnight ago, and the 31-year-old left-back finally agreed personal terms today, just four days after his wedding.
Lockwood is a player with bags of experience, particularly over a nine-year period with Leyton Orient, and U's stalwart Karl Duguid has already described him as "one of the best left-backs at this level."
