THE Metaltec SIL has hit out at authorities who have arranged Touchline Sports Suffolk Senior Cup games on the same day as the first round of the FA Vase on October 4.

This will mean the postponement of three Suffolk Senior Cup matches involving SIL sides. It is likely they will be re-scheduled to the following Saturday causing the postponement of Senior Division matches.

Cornard, Hadleigh United, Debenham Leisure Centre and Long Melford are the Ridgeons League, First Division sides still involved in the Vase.

An SIL spokesman said: “The question has to be posed as to why the Senior Cup is scheduled on the same day as a round of the FA Vase.”
