MEMBERS of Mildenhall Cricket club welcomed in the New Year yesterday with their annual Twenty20 match.
Lou Handy’s side, batting first, made 149 for four from their 20 overs to beat Tim Wilkins’ side, who ended on 140 for six in reply, by nine runs.
The ten-a-side teams were joined by around 20 spectators for the match at the Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Championship club’s Wamil Way ground. Yesterday was the seventh staging of the annual fixture.
