Mildenhall Town will travel to Evostick Premier League Lancaster City in the FA Trophy, third round qualifying.

Dean Greygoose’s side beat Barwell 1-0 in the last round on Saturday and face a Lancashire team who are mid-table in their division.

It’s a pretty tough draw for Greygoose and his side.

“I don’t know if I’ve upset anyone at the FA, but it’s another hard away draw,” Greygoose quipped.

“We’ve had loads of away cup draws in recent seasons. Yes, we will be underdogs, but the spirit we showed in our other two Trophy games at King’s Lynn and Barwell has been superb.

“We are doing it with youngsters as well, and the team is digging so very deep.

“Our fans have been giving us some fantastic support and I just can’t thank them enough either.”

Lancaster beat Stratford Town in the last round of the Trophy on Saturday. They have a strong home record, especially in the league, where they are unbeaten in their eight home games played.

Meanwhile, Mildenhall entertain Waltham Abbey tomorrow night at Recreation Way. It’s a quick return against a side who thrashed ‘Hall 5-1 two weeks ago.

“We were well beaten by them, ironically just after we had beaten King’s Lynn in the Trophy,” Greygoose said.

“Now we face them again after a Trophy game. I want to make a few changes, some of the boys are drained emotionally and physically.

“As a club, we are all in this together and we all know that. Our league position is a bit frustrating at the moment, but we will deal with it and perhaps I can get a new player into the club very soon, too.”

Also in the Trophy, Heybridge Swifts were drawn away at Ashford Town or Kingstonian, Chelmsford away at Wealdstone, while Braintree had a home draw to Moneyfields or Cray Wanderers.

In Bostik Premier action tomorrow night, Lowestoft and Brightlingsea are on their travels to Thurrock and Wingate & Finchley respectively, while Bury, after their battling performance at Billericay on Saturday, are at Dereham, Witham are at Hertford, both in Bostik North.
