Mixed Open success at Ufford

THE Ufford Park Golf Club Mixed Open was a very successful day held, surprisingly, in good weather with 40 players from Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex taking part.

THE Ufford Park Golf Club Mixed Open was a very successful day held, surprisingly, in good weather with 40 players from Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex taking part.

The overall winners were Angela and Malcolm Waite, from Colne Valley Golf Club, with a Better-ball score of 43 points. This was their first visit to Ufford Park and they commented on the wonderful condition and test of golf it was. In second place were Tessa Summers and her son Alex (Aldeburgh Golf Club) with 40 points.

Third place with 39 points, on countback, were Ann Graves (Woodbridge Golf Club) and David Graves (Halesworth Golf Club). Fourth place went to Don Cutmore and Sue Gilbert (Colne Valley Golf Club) again with 39 points.

Nearest the pin prizes were won by Di Randall on the 10th hole and Malcolm Waite on the 16th hole.
