JOE Royle has called for the same again as Ipswich Town aim to catapult themselves into a play-off position with victory over Wolves tomorrow night, writes Derek Davis.

The Blues boss is looking for a second-half performance from his side to match that which inspired the comeback against Sheffield United 10 days ago and the atmosphere created by a wonderful Portman Road crowd.

Although Wolves have not sold all their allocation of tickets, a crowd of around 26,000 is expected at Portman Road, although more tickets can be bought by home fans at cash turnstiles on the night.

Royle said: "Our win against Sheffield United is still very fresh in the mind. We are looking at a big crowd to get behind us again and after the downers the club has gone through last week with one thing and another we are looking to cheer everyone up.

"We have a chance of going up to sixth place and after being fourth from bottom that is quite an achievement.

"Getting into the coveted play-off places will give everyone a big lift, so we know we have a lot to play for.

"The crowd played an important part against Sheffield and we need them to come up with the same noise and atmosphere for every game from now until the end of the season. They can make a difference."

While Ipswich have benefited from a week's rest, Wolves enjoyed an FA Cup victory over Rochdale on Sunday to draw manager Dave Jones' former club Southampton.

Before that they entertain Ipswich on March 5, which will be their fifth game in 15 days.

Back injuries to Mark Kennedy and George Ndah have made them doubts for tomorrow, although Royle expects the pair to come good.

He said: "I know Mark from old and he is an influential player for them and Wolves will want both those players in from the start."

John McGreal will make his return after being out for 10 weeks with a knee injury, which could see skipper Matt Holland pushed back into midfield.

Royle added: "John will be in from the start. I have always had a high regard for him and after seeing him playing at close quarters I have an even higher regard for him. He will start and will be an important player back for us."

Hermann Hreidarsson starts his three-match ban, Finidi George continues to be troubled by a hip injury and Mark Venus is still a month away from recovering from knee surgery, otherwise Royle has a full squad to select from.

n More than 1,100 tickets have been sold for the beam-back to Portman Road from Norwich City on March 2. There were 40 tickets remaining last night at £10 a head, to watch the game in the marquee.
