Colchester United’s away match at Morecambe tomorrow has been postponed following a pitch inspection this lunchtime.
The Globe Arena pitch was inspected at midday, and although there has not been much snow in the area, conditions have been freezing.
The U’s are currently seven points adrift of the League Two play-offs, following back-to-back 1-0 defeats at the hands of relegation candidates Crewe and Barnet.
Morecambe, themselves in danger of relegation, claimed a shock 4-2 win at promotion-chasing Wycombe Wanderers last weekend.
The U’s next match is another away fixture, at Mansfield Town next Saturday, March 10.
