THERE could well be a pitch inspection early tomorrow morning to decide whether Colchester United's home match against Stockport County can go ahead.
The match referee will be staying locally overnight, in case he is required to make an early decision and so prevent County fans from embarking on a fruitless journey to Essex. The U's will be protecting the most vulnerable areas of the pitch with covers.
