Morten Risager is one of five Witches from the 2013 side to be returning to Foxhall for the 2014 campaign.

Rohan Tungate, Cameron Heeps, Ritchie Hawkins and Adam Ellis all re-join the Dane who is the only surviving member of the Ipswich team of 2011 – the year they entered the Premier League.

And with his return in 2014, he also celebrates a testimonial meeting – date to be decided – but a meeting he hopes will bring some top stars to Foxhall.

“I have only just started making plans for the meeting, but I’m hoping to have a couple of Grand Prix stars in it,” he said.

“I’ve spoken to one or two and they have expressed an interest in doing it. If the Ipswich team all want to ride in it, then that’s great too.”

Risager started riding 10 years ago in this country and he knows he has never fulfilled a potential which was being touted by many as Grand Prix standard.

He knows he is under pressure to perform and admits he was worried about his place in the team in 2014.

“I was worried I wouldn’t get a place,” he said.

“The main reason is that there were four Witches assets and we couldn’t all fit in.

“I just want to prove to Chris Louis he has made the right decision.”

Louis meanwhile admitted he expects Risager to up his average in 2014.

“I’ll be on his case this year,” Louis said.

“The main reason Morten is in the side is because he is more than capable.”
