COLCHESTER United manager John Ward was left frustrated by his side’s inability to kill off visiting Yeovil in a 2-2 draw at the Weston Homes Community Stadium this afternoon.

A brace from Gavin Massey, on loan from Watford, secured an unlikely point for the Glovers.

But United should have won this game at a canter. In the end, a long-range shot from Andy Bond and a close-range header from Michail Antonio was not enough to take all three points.

Ward admitted: “It’s been a frustrating afternoon, just in terms of the scoreline.

“We’ve dominated maybe 75% of the game, if not more, and made two errors at the back-end which have resulted in goals against us.

“And I imagine Yeovil have gone away wondering how an earth that they managed to score two goals, because we had the majority of the efforts, the majority of the play and the majority of the football.

“But we haven’t managed to win the game. That sometimes happens in football.

“However, the way the team has played, I was very pleased with that,” added Ward.
