NEEDHAM Market Manager Danny Laws has been active in the transfer market but has signed a defender not the expected striker. Six-foot tall defender Patrick Bexfield has signed for the Bloomfields-based side after an unsuccessful spell at fellow Ridgeons Premier side Wisbech Town where he was injured on his debut.

Six-foot tall defender Patrick Bexfield has signed for the Bloomfields-based side after an unsuccessful spell at fellow Ridgeons Premier side Wisbech Town where he was injured on his debut.
The 19-year-old former Norwich City player, who played a number of Reserve games and appeared on the first-team substitutes bench at Carrow Road, has now fully recovered and will replace the injured Dan Pilcher who looks like being sidelined for the season with a cartilage injury.
