Needham Market striker Sam Newson is on the verge of signing for Maldon & Tiptree, we understand.
Newson, a popular figure at Bloomfields after scoring 136 goals in 240 appearances for The Marketmen, was transfer listed earlier this week by boss Mark Morsley.
And, it appears that Newson could be set to sign for Maldon & Tiptree, of the Ryman North Division, managed by former Ipswich Town defender David Wright.
