NEEDHAM Market have made their second significant signing of the summer with the capture of Kirkley & Pakefield striker Nathan Stone.
The Ryman League Division One North newcomers have completed the signing of Stone hot on the heels of obtaining the signature of Stanway Rovers’ striker Sam Newson.
Needham manager Danny Laws said: “He has been on our agenda for a while and Kirkley were very good about him joining us. We are delighted to have him on board. He is a player who will add a lot to our squad.
“I liken him to Danny Wright, the former Dereham and Histon striker now at Cambridge United. He has a lot of the same attributes.
“At times we didn’t score enough goals last season, but Sam and Nathan are fantastic signings for us. We targeted three players from the Ridgeons League and have signed two of them.”
