Football: Holders AFC Fylde have switched Saturday's FA Vase fourth round replay to neighbouring Squires Gate's ground because they fear their own pitch won't be fit.

Club officials harboured doubts over Kellamergh Park ever since the team achieved a goalless draw in Suffolk last weekend and they wasted no time contacting the FA, who sanctioned the move from the village of Warton to south Blackpool 12 miles away.

Fylde's pitch in the Lancashire village has been a major waterlogging worry for months and only last week 3,500 was sunk into temporary repairs to see out the season. However, the club felt they couldn't afford any risks with more rain forecast right up to Saturday.

President David Haythornthwaite said: “We are facing a fixture backlog so we need to get this game completed. Despite the work that's been done, we couldn't guarantee that our pitch would be playable.
