NEW signing Dean Wells is likely to start on the bench when Braintree Town entertain Forest Green Rovers at the Amlin Stadium tomorrow.
The former Brentford youngster has been signed by Iron boss Alan Devonshire from Staines Town in an attempt to shore up Town’s wobbly rearguard which has shipped 25 goals in its last eight games.
“He is a good all-round defender who I had at Hampton & Richmond for five or six years,” said Devonshire.
“I am confident he can make the step up from Blue Square Bet South to the Premier but he will probably start on the bench against Forest Green as he has only been with the squad since Thursday.”
