A CONVICING 4-1 win by Norfolk over Suffolk saw them crowned champions of this season's East Anglian Counties Women's Championship in a match at Woodbridge which saw the hosts finish a well-beaten side.
A CONVICING 4-1 win by Norfolk over Suffolk saw them crowned champions of this season's East Anglian Counties Women's Championship in a match at Woodbridge which saw the hosts finish a well-beaten side.
In a tight first half Norfolk went ahead after 43 minutes when Kate Parsons headed a fine goal following a corner.
Early in the second half Helen Bass (Colchester United) got through for Suffolk but failed to beat the goalkeeper.
Ten minutes before the end Paige Shorten slipped in Norfolk's second goal.
Suffolk hit back with Amanda Everett (Ipswich Town) scoring an excellent goal with time running out.
In the closing minute Shorten scored a third for Norfolk and then Gemma Farman completed the scoring with a penalty kick.
