IES scored within two minutes as Farrow opened his account for the season, however, the lead did not last long as a dynamic City side scored from a well-struck penalty corner that beat Lane.
Norwich pushed forward constantly, testing the IES defence, and they scored again as their left winger managed to make a reverse stick strike under Lane.

IES battled back and Borwick scored with a slipped shot past the City keeper. Again Norwich came back and a messed clearance allowed the home side to make it 3-2 at the break. IES rallied and fought hard, soaking up the pressure in midfield through Blake who was playing out of position.
IES levelled midway into the second period through Taylor, who received a pass from Phil Trett and beat the keeper with ease. The killer moment came with ten minutes to go when a Borwick pass found Francis in the D and he seemed to guide it home.
Stout defending by the visitors meant a close finish but IES got the three points and remain sixth in Division 2N. IES face Cambridge University next weekend, looking to equal the win at Copleston in January.
