TICKETS for the East Anglian derby between Norwich City and Ipswich will be hard to get hold of once again, but the game will be screened live at Portman Road, writes Steve Mellen.

Fans will be able to purchase tickets for the bars at Town's stadium, where the game will be beamed back due to an agreement between the two clubs and Anglia Television.

The club will be selling 900 tickets at £10 each for the Galleria, Centre Spot and Sir Alf Ramsey Suite, as they did last season.

Gold Club members will be able to buy theirs from February 12, season- ticket holders from the 14th and Silver Club members from the 17th. In the unlikely event that any are left over, they will go on general sale on the 19th. Tickets can be bought from the Town shops at the stadium, The Buttermarket in Ipswich and in Bury St Edmunds, or over the phone on 01473 40055. They are limited to one per person until general sale starts.

Places for children under 18 will be limited to between 20-30 out of the 900 tickets. "This is not ideal, but it's down to the licencing laws we have to operate by," said director of commercial affairs Paul Clouting yesterday.

Ipswich fans heading up to Norwich have been allocated just under 2,000 tickets in the Canaries new stand, and the club will be using a new method of distributing these.

Debenture holders and away match passport holders will be sent theirs automatically, but the club will then give priority to Gold and Silver Club members who have travelled to three or more away matches this season (including the most recent game at Coventry City).

Gold Club members will get priority, then Silver Club members. They will be notified by post early next week.

The club have used the

information stored on their

database, which logs all ticket transactions made through Portman Road. The letters should arrive today or early next week.

Fans who qualify for a derby ticket will have from February 9 to the 18th to purchase it. Any tickets not taken up will be offered to other Gold Club members in the week starting February 23.
