We begin today 15 years ago when Town beat nine-man Rotherham as Pablo Counago scored twice for the Blues in their 2-1 win at Portman Road, while the Blues drew 1-1 with Leeds United at Portman Road in 1980 with John Wark scoring for Town.
In 1997, Alex Mathie was the only goalscorer as Town beat Man City 1-0 at Portman Road to win their only second home league game at the start of the 1997-98 season
In the same game, Jason Dozzell made his second Town debut, after returning to the club from Tottenham, while Mark Lambert scored in Town’s 1-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday at Portman Road in 1969.
And finally former Town midfielder Mark Brennan was born on this day in 1965, he made over 200 appearances and scored 25 goals for the Blues between 1983 to 1988.
