In 1982, the Blues beat Leeds United 2-1 at Portman Road as Eric Gates and Terry Butcher scored for the Blues, while 18 years ago the Blues beat Bristol Rovers 2-1 at Portman Road, thanks to goals from Chris Kiwomya and Brian Gayle.
