In 1993, Town were live on TV as they drew 2-2 with Spurs at Portman Road in the Premier League with Ian Marshall and Simon Milton scoring Town, while the vistiors saw red and Jason Dozzell made his return to Portman Road scoring for Spurs.

Debut delight for Gary Croft as he scored on his Ipswich Town debut on this day in 1999 as Town beat Manchester City 2-1 live on TV at Portman Road, while in 2000 Town beat Millwall 5-0 at Portman Road in the League Cup with the visitors going down to nine-men.

Also on this day in 2009, Ipswich Town’s North Stand was renamed the Sir Bobby Robson Stand with former players attending and Lady Elsie Robson cutting the ribbon.
