This after the south London side's disappointing start to the current campaign.
Taylor took over at Selhurst Park following Iain Dowie's departure in June last year, but the Eagles failed to mount an expected promotion challenge last term.
They are currently well off the pace again, lying in 19th place with 10 points from their opening 10 games.
