OWEN Pearl of Stoke by Nayland won the Suffolk Junior Matchplay at Rushmere, beating Chris Gooding of Ipswich 4 and 2 in the final.
In a semi-final between two left-handers, Pearl beat Jordan Dymond of Fynn Valley 3 and 2 while Gooding accounted for Liam Brace of Stoke by Nayland 5 and 4.
Meanwhile, Rhodri Harston of Felixstowe Ferry completed his week for Wales in the Boys' home internationals at Machynys Peninsula in Llanelli yesterday.
He halved his foursomes in the morning when partnering Luke Jackson, but lost his singles 5 and 3.
